Beware of poisonous plants

Poinsettias are beautiful, especially this time of year. But regardless of whether they are red, white or speckled with gold they are poisonous to cats.

Cats tend to explore household plants, especially when they are bored or looking for your attention. Although the season is really exciting and busy for us, cats can become nervous and overwhelmed by all their new surroundings, so it is important to make sure your cats have lots of toys and that you pet them enough.

If you really love poinsettias why not consider buying an artificial one. They make gorgeous ones with sparkles and ribbons and you can reuse it next year. Another plant to pass on this year is mistletoe, which is also deadly to cats. And if you really want your kiss this year, please buy an artificial one.
